How much is the first home owners grant Victoria 2021?
For contracts entered into between 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2021, the Victorian Government will provide a $20,000 grant to first home buyers purchasing or building new properties in regional Victoria up to the value of $750,000.
Can you use first home owners grant as deposit?
Yes, you can use the First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) as part of your deposit but you will usually need to have existing savings as the FHOG alone is rarely enough to cover a deposit. If you don’t have any existing savings you can ask a parent to act as a guarantor on your loan.
