Is Spartan race free?
Spartan loves Spectators Typically, the fee is $20 if purchased online prior to the event (please note online registration closes at 5pm eastern time on Friday prior to the race), and $25 when purchased on race day. Kids 13 and under are free.
Do Spartan racers get paid?
They’re not paying workers, so a lot of that is pure profit. Spartan Races are similar (they’re in 42 countries and counting). Entry costs for adults range from the low $100s to just under $300 in most locations, and hundreds of people can enter each race.
Do you win anything from Spartan races?
The Minimum prize amounts are $500 for 1st, $200 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd for the overall winners per gender. For the masters group the minimum prizes are $200 for 1st, $150 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd for each gender. (Masters are consider any racer 40 years or older as of race day).
What does Spartan age group mean?
Age Group: Similar to the Elite Heat except in this category, you only compete against racers in the same age bracket (and gender based on heat capacity). Some age brackets will have there own start time. The top three finishers in each age bracket will receive awards. For more info, see the Age Group Category FAQ.
Do Spartan races have a time limit?
Most races do not have a time limit. Sign up, show up, don’t give up! Longer races may have cut off times for safety concerns. If this is the case, those times will be posted on the event page the week before the race.
Can I skip burpees in Spartan Race?
Spartans don’t skip obstacles, we overcome them. We strongly discourage skipping obstacles without attempting them, as it is unfair to others that do attempt them. Plus, aren’t the obstacles the point of doing an obstacle course race? For Stadion races, the burpee penalty is 15 after missing/skipping an obstacle.
