I first contacted EERO. They stated that there was a known issue with the factory installed firmware on the SB6183; it’s documented on their support page. I contacted Arris to obtain a firmware update and was informed that it was only available via a push through my ISP.
When did I buy the surfboard sb6183 router?
I bought the Surfboard SB6183 to alleviate Comcast hardware rental fees. I literally set this up with the routers back in February 2017 and its been consistent and reliable ever since, its mid 2019 now. I haven’t had any problems with this product, I would recommend this to anyone, Im super pleased and will continue to use these products.
