How did the boy from District 10 Die?
In the book, during the second day, he died in one of the sections of the arena from a large unidentified muttation which tore him apart. He placed 9th out of 24. In the film, during the bloodbath he fights Peeta in the water. The two tributes pull each other under water, but the District 10 Male drowns.

How did the District 10 female die?
The District 10 female was killed in the initial Cornucopia bloodbath. Like most of the tributes, she ran for supplies. She was presumably killed by one of the Careers. Her face was the seen last by Katniss on the first night of the games.
Who did Peeta drown?
Nobody is 100% sure about D10 male´s REAL death in the film. He is seen being drowned by Peeta in Day 1, but it´s possible that he was portraying D9 male. Then, if his death was on Day 2 in the film too, I made a theory about his death: He fought Chaff in the jungle in the 6-7 sector.
Why is Peeta bad?
Why so evil, Peeta? Well, as we learn at the beginning of Mockingjay (spoilers, obv), he’s been brainwashed by a method called “hijacking,” in which Tracker Jacker venom is injected to create hallucinations. In this particular case, he’s been brainwashed to hate Katniss.
Why did the tributes keep Peeta alive?
When she wakes, Finnick tells her the Capitol will keep Peeta alive if it means that they can use him as bait. This doesn’t comfort Katniss, and she wonders if she is slowly going crazy. Katniss is determined to kill Peeta to ensure he does not suffer for her rebellion.
