Vivas (née Ruiz; June 21, 1953 – July 8, 2019) was a Cuban-American fraudster who was declared the winner in the female category for the 84th Boston Marathon in 1980, only to have her title stripped eight days after the race when it was discovered that she had not run the entire course.

Although Ruiz never explained why she cheated, it has been suggested her boss was so impressed she qualified for the prestigious Boston race that he offered to pay her way. Ruiz’s New York time was later invalidated when officials discovered she had taken the subway during part of the race.
