Can I get an earlier train with an off-peak ticket?
This depends on the ticket type; flexible tickets can be used on earlier trains providing the earlier train is also within the timings of the ticket purchased. So, for example if you want to travel with a super off-peak ticket you can travel on an earlier train providing it is also a Super off-peak permitted journey.
When can I use my off-peak return train ticket?
4.4 Off-Peak Singles and the outward portion of Off-Peak Returns are valid for travel on the date shown on the ticket and until 04:29 the following morning. If the journey cannot be completed in this time, the ticket may be used to continue the journey on the following day.
Can I use my Trainline ticket on an earlier train?
If you wish to depart earlier or later, you can exchange your ticket or cancel it and re-book it, depending on the fare conditions. Once you have done this, you can then choose a new departure time for your ticket. If you have a Normal fare, then you can use your ticket at any time.
What counts as super off-peak?
Super Off-Peak travel times are normally between around 10:00 to 15:30 and from 19:15 onwards Monday to Friday. You can also travel Super Off-Peak during weekends and bank holidays.

Super Off-Peak Return tickets are valid for outward travel on the date shown on the ticket and until 04:29 the following day. If you cannot complete your journey on the same day you will be allowed to finish it the following day – see ‘Break of journey’ below.

Any time tickets are the most flexible and can be used on any train on the chosen day of departure for the journey you have booked. They are non-refundable and if you miss your train, you will need to buy a new ticket to travel.
Can I change my super off-peak train ticket?
You can change an Advance ticket to another Advance ticket, or to a more flexible Anytime, Off-Peak, or Super Off-Peak ticket. The origin, destination and train company or route shown on the ticket must remain the same.
