Can you use any interface with Pro Tools?
If you want to use Pro Tools then you can use any interface that supports Core Audio on Mac and ASIO on Windows. If you want to use Pro Tools HD then you will need to use an interface that has a DigiLink connection on it to connect to the Pro Tools HD or HDX cards, or via the Pro Tools HD Thunderbolt box.

Why isn’t Pro Tools recognize my interface?
Re: Can’t get ProTools First to recognise my Interface Try holding down the N key while Pro Tools loads. This should force a hardware refresh and allow you to pick your audio interface. Also make sure that nothing else is using the Saffire at the same time Pro Tools is attempting to use it.
