What questions are in the HESI A2?
Here is a breakdown of the number of questions you will face on each section of the HESI exam:

How many questions is the HESI A2?
25-50 questions
Each section of the HESI A2 contains 25-50 questions. All science sections contain 25 questions, while all math and English sections contain 50 questions. The one exception is Reading Comprehension, which contains 47 questions.
Is the HESI exam free?
Each school sets their own minimum score for admission. The time you are allowed to take the exam will depend upon which sections you are taking. There is a fee to take the HESI® exam, which usually ranges between $35 and $70.
Is HESI A2 test hard?
The HESI exam can be a tricky test, so it is important that you read carefully the entire question as well as all of the answers. Often times, the test writers will throw in a few tricks to distract you and to keep you from seeing the correct answer.
What happens if you fail the HESI exam?
You will retest with a different version (version 2) of the exam— no student will have the same exam items twice. If you fail the exam on the second attempt, you must wait until the next eligibility period to test. You can test for HESI A2 Exam six times per year, which is two times per eligibility period.

Generally, a score of 90% to 100% on any of the HESI sub-tests is regarded as excellent. A score between 80% and 89% is regarded as very good. Typically, a score of 75% to 79% is regarded as satisfactory, although some schools consider scores as low as 70% to be satisfactory.
