Can you swim at Osmington Mills?
It’s perfect for swimming and kayaking. Dogs are welcome too. There is a cafe at the carpark and if you follow the coastal path to Osmington bay you will get to the Smugglers Inn.

Is it safe to swim at Ringstead Bay?
Swimming. Ringstead Bay is a sheltered beach that’s great for swimming. A peaceful alternative to the busy resort of Weymouth, it also boasts a fantastic view of the Isle of Portland to admire as you swim.
Does osmington have a beach?
Osmington Mills beach is a lovely spot on Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast. Perfect for taking long walks along the South West Coast Path. Take a walk along to nearby Ringstead Bay or head towards Bowleaze Cove and look out for the small waterfall on the beach. This beach is dog friendly all year round.

What do I need for PGL?
All essential activity and safety equipment is provided, but you will need to bring personal clothing, footwear, washing kits, swimwear and towels. At PGL the atmosphere is relaxed and informal and you will only need casual clothing.

What does PGL stand for in school?
Although children often refer to us as ‘Parents Get Lost’, the company actually takes its name from the man who started it all in the 1950s – Peter Gordon Lawrence.
