Can Micron pens be used with watercolor?
While researching which pens to use, it seemed like Micron pens kept coming up over and over again. If you haven’t heard of them, they are fine-point pens that use archival quality ink. In terms of using them with watercolors, the ink doesn’t smudge or bleed at all when you paint over it.

Should I outline my watercolor?
As long as you use an archival, waterproof ink, you can outline your watercolor painting with no issues. Whether you create your outline before or after you paint is completely up to you. If you decide to create your outline after you paint, just make sure your watercolors are completely dry first.
How long do Pigma microns last?
Sakura state that they are disposable pens and that (apart from running out of ink), they should last up to 24 months if used correctly.
Can you watercolor over pen?
Pens: If the pens are not waterproof they will smudge when I begin painting over them with watercolour paints. Pens will say whether they are waterproof along the side of the pen, I generally use an ‘Artline’ or a ‘Pigma Micron’ pen. These pens have many different sizes, I generally use 0.2 for drawings like this.
Should I do pen or watercolor first?
