What is a DIBELS assessment?
DIBELS ® (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) is a set of procedures and measures for assessing the acquisition of literacy skills. The measures are consistent with many of the Common Core State Standards in Reading, especially those for Foundational Skills.
What is DIBELS oral reading fluency?
The DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency measure is a standardized, individually administered test of accuracy and fluency with connected text. Student performance is measured by having students read a passage aloud for one minute. Words omitted, substituted, and hesitations of more than three seconds are scored as errors.
