Will Ring Alarm work with other Z-Wave sensors?
Will the Ring Alarm be compatible with other alarm systems or third-party Z-wave devices? No. Other Z-Wave products will connect to Ring Alarm but only Ring-certified Z-Wave products will be covered under the Ring Protect plan with professional monitoring plan.
Can Ring Alarm be hardwired?
The Ring Alarm base station can connect to your home network using either Wi-Fi or hardwired ethernet. You can also disarm the system from the app, but in a break from convention, Ring does not offer a key fob for arming and disarming the system.
Can Ring use ADT sensors?
Although both ADT Pulse and Ring systems utilize Z-wave protocols, you cannot use ADT sensors with Ring despite a few odd exceptions. ADT Pulse is not compatible with Ring at this time.
Can you combine two ring alarm systems?
Yes, all Ring Alarm security devices are compatible with every Base Station. You can mix and match 1st and 2nd generation Ring Alarm Contact Sensors, Motion Detectors, Range Extenders, Keypads and third-party devices with any Ring Alarm Base Station.

Is Ring compatible with ADT sensors?
Can you use ring alarm without WIFI?
It can work without wi-fi, but only during a certain time constraint. The Ring Alarm has cellular and battery backup. In order for you to access all of the features in a Ring Alarm system, you have to be connected to wi-fi. Without wi-fi, you are unable to control your device when you need to.
Can you leave Ring keypad plugged in?
POWER: It connects to power using the included USB power supply and cable, but you can use it plugged in or unplugged. It takes a few hours to charge the internal rechargeable battery, and it should last for about 7 months, depending on usage.
