TRI-CITIES, Wash. — Testing and qualifying rounds of the 2021 Tri-City Water Follies, which include the Columbia Cup, were canceled for Friday, July 23 due to an abundance of vegetation in the water that hydroplane experts deemed unsafe for high-speed boating.
Where are the hydroplane races in Tri-Cities?
Columbia Park East
One of the biggest events in Kennewick, and the Tri-Cities in general, is the hydroplane racing at Columbia Park East. Delighting crowds young and old, male and female, the event is put on by the Tri-City Water Follies, and takes place each July in Columbia Park East on the Columbia River.
