What is EP procedure?
An electrophysiology (EP) study is a test performed to assess your heart’s electrical system or activity and is used to diagnose abnormal heartbeats or arrhythmia. The test is performed by inserting catheters and then wire electrodes, which measure electrical activity, through blood vessels that enter the heart.
What is a cardiac device specialist?
A cardiac medical device or clinical specialist provides procedural support, patient monitoring, and training and education. Duties are performed while a device implant or EP mapping procedure is being performed and during the post-operative monitoring of patients who have cardiac devices implanted.
How many questions are on the Ibhre?

The IBHRE CCDS and CEPS (Allied Professional) examinations consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, while the Physician EP exams consist of 175 questions. For security purposes, Prometric scrambles the order of exam questions as they are delivered through computer-based testing.
How long does it take to get Ibhre results?

Does an EP study hurt?
An EP study doesn’t hurt, but you may feel uncomfortable as your heartbeat speeds up or slows down. Tell your care team if you feel any pain. An EP study can take one to four hours. Your test may last longer if you’re also undergoing cardiac ablation.
