Find a quiet spot and grab a comfortable chair, preferably with a desk.If you feel the chair is not comfortable enough, you can also put an additional cushion on the seat. The books and the laptop can be placed on the desk. Couch could be a bad option, as it may make you feel lazy or sleepy

2.    Remove all distractions

Distraction can be anything that does not let your mind focus on studies; smell of the freshly baked cookies, cellphone messages, loud volume of TV, chirping of birds, or the noise of children playing outside. Turn off your mobile notifications, log out of all your social media accounts, close your room door, and just put all your concentration on studies.Remove all the unnecessary items from the table- old magazines, DVDs, board games, etc. Avoid the clutter, and keep everything on your desk organized.

3.    Fill the room with positive light and energy

A dark room with dim or no lights would make you feel dull and down. Bright sunlight fills the room with positive energy, and it also encourages you to put all your focus on studies. If you are studying at the night time, make sure your desk lamp sheds good amount of light on the course books. Studying with less light also affects your eyesight.

4.    Set the temperature right

Temperatures play an important role in the overall energy of the body. Warm temperatures make you feel dull, whereas the cold temperatures make the mind numb. If you feel too warm, opening the window would allow the fresh air in the room. If the room is too cold for you, putting on a light sweater would help to keep your body temperature normal. Select a temperature which suits your body the best.

5.    Place everything within reach

Getting up from your seat to get supplies may break your concentration. Put everything you might need within your reach- pencil, sharpener, eraser, ball point, ink pen, notepad, stapler, ruler, etc. It is also advisable to have a jug of water, and some biscuits or chips to eat in between the study breaks.
